Oral and Written Communication for Construction Supervisors introduces students to the essential communication skills needed to lead effectively in the construction industry. Students will develop practical skills in verbal communication, active listening, conflict resolution, team coordination, professional writing, and electronic communication commonly used on commercial construction projects. Emphasis is placed on improving jobsite leadership, facilitating meetings, giving clear direction, building consensus, and managing the flow of project information in a professional construction environment.

This course covers the fundamentals of construction estimating, including plan reading, quantity takeoffs, and cost development. Students use tools like Bluebeam Revu to apply real-world estimating techniques and produce accurate material and labor estimates.
